Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium. 

You should be finishing up your EOC Prep assignments in MathXL.  If your assignment is late, you should do it anyway.  Late is better than not at all because each of these is a 30 point assessment grade.   (In some cases I raise the score even if MathXL has lowered it for being late!!! Don't let MathXL scoring cause you to ignore the assignment!)  There is an Iready blue tab assignment on Solving Systems of Equations which is available for Extra Credit if done before the EOC day 2 (May 3rd).   This will help offset if you missed getting the other Iready assignments done because you put it off too long and I removed them!! Monday is our final review day, so come prepared to try problems in class with hints.  I have compiled the ones you and your classmates had the most trouble with and we plan to go through them and make sure you can solve them.  This is too long to finish in class, so your homework is to complete going through them bef...

We have things to do to get ready for Algebra.  There are many things we can cover but the three most important things we will focus on is... Lines - graphing and using their formulas (y=mx+b) Exponent Rules Expressions/Equations  We will be doing the ramp up to Algebra assessment and working to get ready.... ======================================================================= If you don't have a grade as high as you would like then let's get to work to fix that!!   In class, stay alert, stay with me, ask questions and practice your skills.  - Classwork points will be earned most days. Assessments will be in the form of bellringers, exit-slips and the Iready diagnostic, so make sure you are understanding what we are doing and doing Iready's to get your skills up.    The ramp-up to Algebra is not an assessment grade, but your work on the required skills will be an important part of the end of this quarter!!! 

All grades have been updated today with the latest completed online in Digits and Iready. Your homework over the weekend for all classes is to complete the Surface Area and Volume Digits assignments (22-1,2,3,4) complete your 2 Iready lessons for the week if not already done work on the FSA packet so you can bring additional questions you have to class - - - - I don't expect you to finish it but put an hour or so worth of effort into it each day so that you and spend some review time and have questions when you come back to class. We only have Monday before your FSA starts.    Your FSA is Wednesday and Thursday so the time has gone by too fast!!! In class we will not have the full class for review because we need to do the FSA practice test which I will try to expedite.  I cannot skip it though because you need some time with the tools to ensure you are not confused as to how to work them on the FSA itself.  We will spend the rest of the time reviewin...

Notes and explanations are due if you are wanting an update to your Section 9 open notes test.  The retake should be done at home as well, but for it to be accepted the notes need to be turned in Tuesday 4/10.
