Algebra - 3/26 - 3/28 and a view beyond

You should be done with 3 blue-tab lessons before arriving in class Monday:  
       Dot Plots, Box Plots and Histograms!! 

 Monday 3/26 - In class - notes on Topics 1-4 in Section 9

     Homelearning: MathXL Histograms and Box Plots
         + Algebra Nation Topics 1-4 in Section 9 (whatever we don't finish.... I expect we'll finish)

Wednesday 3/28 - In class with sub - Practice problems covering topics 1-4 Section 9 (finish at home if not completed in class).

     Homelearning: Complete the Practice problems started in class with the sub. 
                Bring any questions you have to class on Monday.

We have things to do to get ready for Algebra.  There are many things we can cover but the three most important things we will focus on is... Lines - graphing and using their formulas (y=mx+b) Exponent Rules Expressions/Equations  We will be doing the ramp up to Algebra assessment and working to get ready.... ======================================================================= If you don't have a grade as high as you would like then let's get to work to fix that!!   In class, stay alert, stay with me, ask questions and practice your skills.  - Classwork points will be earned most days. MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
