Algebra 1 - This week is our EOC... what are we doing this week and going forward...

You should be finishing up your EOC Prep assignments in MathXL.  If your assignment is late, you should do it anyway.  Late is better than not at all because each of these is a 30 point assessment grade.   (In some cases I raise the score even if MathXL has lowered it for being late!!! Don't let MathXL scoring cause you to ignore the assignment!) 

There is an Iready blue tab assignment on Solving Systems of Equations which is available for Extra Credit if done before the EOC day 2 (May 3rd).   This will help offset if you missed getting the other Iready assignments done because you put it off too long and I removed them!!

Monday is our final review day, so come prepared to try problems in class with hints.  I have compiled the ones you and your classmates had the most trouble with and we plan to go through them and make sure you can solve them.  This is too long to finish in class, so your homework is to complete going through them before you start the EOC on Wednesday.  

Wednesday, Friday and going forward we will be looking into what is coming in Geometry for you.  I will be getting suggestions from Ms. Putnal (our Geometry teacher) regarding what she wants you to know before getting into her class next year.

MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
