Algebra 1 - This week is our EOC... what are we doing this week and going forward...

You should be finishing up your EOC Prep assignments in MathXL.  If your assignment is late, you should do it anyway.  Late is better than not at all because each of these is a 30 point assessment grade.   (In some cases I raise the score even if MathXL has lowered it for being late!!! Don't let MathXL scoring cause you to ignore the assignment!)  There is an Iready blue tab assignment on Solving Systems of Equations which is available for Extra Credit if done before the EOC day 2 (May 3rd).   This will help offset if you missed getting the other Iready assignments done because you put it off too long and I removed them!! Monday is our final review day, so come prepared to try problems in class with hints.  I have compiled the ones you and your classmates had the most trouble with and we plan to go through them and make sure you can solve them.  This is too long to finish in class, so your homework is to complete going through them bef...

Algebra - 4/10 and 4/16

Notes and explanations are due if you are wanting an update to your Section 9 open notes test.  The retake should be done at home as well, but for it to be accepted the notes need to be turned in Tuesday 4/10. Tuesday 4/10 - Starting Section 10 with Topics 1 and 2  Homelearning : Complete using Algebra Nation video (your workbook section 10 Topic 3), Any part of the Independent practice from class you did not finish in class.  Most finished. MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
