Tuesday January 16th - Topics 6 and 7 in class. "Using Square roots and completing the square"
Homelearning:   Independent Practice Worksheet for Topic 6 and 7 (due 1/22)
       Topic 8 needs to be completed at home with the Algebra Nation video. (should be done by 1/18)
            Follow along and watch how the quadratic equation is derived.
            Be ready to use it on next class!!!

Thursday Jan 18th - Topic 9 in class.  "Using the quadratic formula".

Going into the weekend we will be done with Section 5.  We will do Topic 10 Section 5 with the next section.  At this point make sure you can factor, recognize different patterns like perfect square trinomials and the difference between two squares.  Be able to solve with square roots, completing the square and the quadratic formula.  MEMORIZE the quadratic formula!!!

MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
