Algebra 1 - (Oct 30th - November 16th)

Monday October 30th - Covering Section 3 Topic 5 in class and then going over questions from Section 2 and then Section 1 tests returned.

  • Homelearning:  Complete Section 3 Topic 5 in the Algebra Nation Workbook with the video. Go back and complete Section 1 Topic 9 Video in Algebra Nation with the workbook.

Wednesday November 1 - Covering Section 3 Topic 7 (Key Features of Graphs of Functions - Part 1) and Topic 8 (Key Features of Graphs of Functions - Part 2)  
  • Homelearning: Complete Topic 7 and 8 Practice Worksheets and graph the 4 functions.

Friday November 3rd - Working on step functions, graphing and composite functions. 
  • Homelearning: Watch the algebra Nation video for Section 3 Topic 9 and fill in the Algebra Nation workbook.  Complete composite functions worksheet if not done in class.

Tuesday November 7th - Graphing and  Topic 10 Transformations in Desmos. 
  • Homelearning: Complete Topic 10 in Algebra Nation Workbook along with the video

Thursday November 9th - Completed study guide in class in a group. 

  • Homelearning: Work on Pink Study guide and bring your answers and places you are confused so we can go over it next class.   The test is Thursday 11/16 .
  • Mini Quiz #1, #2 and #3 in MathXL (#1 is due on Tuesday 11/14.  #2 and #3 on Thursday 11/16)

Tuesday November 14th - We will be having another day of review.  Be ready to go over the pink study guide and figure out anything you are confused about.  The test is Thursday so let's get it straight.

  • Homelearning:  Study for test using your Algebra Nation workbook, any returned papers, and both study guides.

Thursday November 16th - Test Day ( Section 3 Topic 1-9 except 6).

  • Homelearning:  If you didn't finish the Desmos exploration, complete it and turn it in before Thanksgiving.   If you didn't complete the MathXL Quiz #2 and #3 remember it is due before midnight 11/16.

MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
