Algebra 1 - Thursday 8/31

Quiz day - covering Section 1 Topics 1-4

Then on to practice exponent rules.  We have notes from last time and now just need to practice, practice, practice, check with our partner, stand up for our math, practice some more and maybe with a little more practice we will have it!!!

Homework:

  • MathXL and the assignment is called "Exponent rules"  
  • Complete the Algebra Nation workbook for Section 1 Topic 5 for homework along with the associated video.   This means complete the video and fill in your workbook as you go.  At the end of the section is the "beat the test".  Make sure you try it and go over your results.  Bring questions and your workbook to class. 
  • Complete the T5 (Topic 5) worksheet that was distributed in class.  Bring questions related to it as well!!


Radicals are next so let's get those Exponents clear!!

MJII Advanced - Plan for last 2 weeks of school

Monday 5/21 - Continue our exponent rules and practice.  Classwork Exponent worksheets 5 & 6 (7 if we have time). Homelearning:   Exponent worksheet #7 Don't forget the last blue tab extra credit assignment is only available to complete through May 25th!!!  Wednesday 5/23 - Exponent Quiz followed by Algebra Nation Ramp up short diagnostic.... Are you ready??? Friday 5/25 (There will be a substitute).  Half of the class will be working on Algebra Nation proficiency following the ramp up.... work your way up.  Other half - SumDog competition online.  Wednesday 5/30 - Animal Kingdom field trip.   Anyone present will work on their ramp up work in Algebra Nation. Friday 6/1 - Last day of school - Giant Jenga and the Lipsync competition in the Auditorium.
